Peaking Lights are to showcase their new album ‘Lucifer’ with a playback party in London.
Famed crate digger, Peaking Lights manage to digest their enormous vinyl addiction into some genuinely bewildering, forward thinking music. New album ‘Lucifer’ is set to be released on June 6th, with the duo organising a special playback.
Peaking Lights will visit the UK early next month, organising a handful of headline shows and a set at Field Day. Hitting London, the pair are confirmed to play a one off set at XOYO before hosting an unusual playback event.
Taking place the day after the XOYO show (June 7th, write it down) Peaking Lights will welcome fans along for two sets.
Opening up ‘Lucifer’ the album will play on a loop so fans can absorb their distended, disintegrated samples. After this, Peaking Lights will crack open the crates for a special DJ set alongside The Horrors’ Tom Cowan and more.
The whole thing is free and runs between 7.30pm – 2am at Ridley Road Market Bar in Dalston, London.
As if that wasn’t enough, Peaking Lights have also confirmed a special release. Stripped from their upcoming album, ‘LO HI’ is set to be given a limited edition pressing on “limited edition, dinked reggae-style white label 12” with a locked groove”.
