Peaches For Ether

Electro minx announces London show

Canadian electro filth merchant Peaches has been added to the Ether festivities in London’s Royal Festival Hall.

Is there anyone on the planet dirtier than Peaches? Her lyrics could make the most blasé listener blush, while her on stage antics have to be seen to be believed. Peaches returned to the studio recently to work on her forthcoming album ‘I Feel Cream’.

Released via XL Recordings on May 4th, the album is vintages Peaches, full of squelching beats and naughty lyrics. Of course, nothing prepares the audience for the Peaches live show, the current incarnation of which is called ‘Every Little Defect Gets RESPECT’.

Ether is a series of live shows which bring together left field artists. Set in the confines of the Royal Festival Hall, such historic surroundings have seen many things but a Peaches live show is not one of them. On the night the singer will be joined by 16-year-old underground ‘queen of the teen scene’ Charli XCX and London drag act Johnny Woo.

From being photographed by Karl Lagerfeld to collaborating with Joan Jett, Josh Homme and Feist, electro singer Peaches has flirted with the edges of music and fashion but has always resolutely followed her own path.

Joining Peaches at this year’s Ether events is a varied line up including a special collaboration between Spiritualized’s J Spaceman and Matthew Shipp as well as a rare performance from Warp Records legend Squarepusher.

Peaches is set to play the following date:

April
10 London Royal Festival Hall
