Pavement To Play Hollywood Bowl

With Sonic Youth and No Age

Returning alt rock dons Pavement have announced a special one off show in the Hollywood Bowl.

Pavement’s return has reminded the public of just how important the band were. A ten year gap has allowed the watching world to catch up, with the band enjoying a greater posthumous popularity than they ever reached during their first stint together.

The band confirmed their reformation last year, with Pavement due to hit the UK this May. The group are to play a four night residency at London’s O2 Academy Brixton – the scene of their final show in 1999.

Touring around the world, Pavement have now confirmed details of a special ‘end of re-union tour’ show. The Californian alt rock dons are due to play a show at the historic (and massive) Hollywood Bowl.

One of the most famed venues in the United States, the Hollywood Bowl hosted seminal shows by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and more. Recently Adele sold out the venue, marking the Stateside emergence of the singer.

Now Pavement are to perform at the Hollywood Bowl. The end of tour show will take place on September 30th, and marks the band’s final scheduled performance of the year.

The support cast looks quite tasty, too. Sonic Youth have agreed to perform, with the New York noise godheads set to blast through the historic venue. Meanwhile Los Angeles noise pop two piece No Age are also set to drop by, with more acts to be confirmed.

Tickets for the Pavement show are set to go on sale from May 2nd, with demand expected to be huge.

Pavement have confirmed the following show:
