Parklife Weekender Announce Plan B, Jessie Ware and Disclosure

Manchester festival reveals stunning full line up.

Parklife Weekender has been keeping festivalgoers on tenterhooks over the past two weeks by releasing its line-up one artist a day before finally culminating in a full reveal today. Julio Bashmore, Hot Natured, Heidi, Four Tet, and The Maccabees have all been flying around the country via Twitter and Facebook revelations, but Clash can now confirm that these are just a handful of the artists set to take to the stage in Manchester on the 8th and 9th of June with the likes of Disclosure, Plan B, Jessie Ware and Example amongst the horde of world class acts being announced today.

The festival once again lives up to its ‘musical Mecca of the north’ reputation with headliners such as Jurrasic 5, DJ Fresh, Rita Ora, Mark Ronson, Sub Focus, Wretch 32, Simian Mobile Disco, Benga, Joey Bada$$, TEED, and Aluna George sure to grab the headlines.

But it is the depth of quality in the acts behind these headliners that is truly stunning. Looking down the list, we haven’t been able to spot a dodgy bit of programming anywhere. Indeed, the list is so extensive that naming everything we’re excited about would have us here all day so we’ll stick to whetting your collective appetites with a few of the stand out highlights.

Hudson Mohawke will be curating his own stage, bringing with him the likes of Jackmaster, Redinho, and Spencer as well as a special performance with Lunice as TNGHT. The Warehouse Project will be out in full force across both days, hosting, amongst others, Four Tet, Daphni, John Talabot, Cyril Hahn, Lapalux, Julio Bashmore, A B2B set from Eats Everything and Justin Martin, and a live show from Scuba.

Elsewhere Hot Natured, Hospital Records, Drop the Mustard and Metropolis have also selected sublime rosters of acts to represent them on their stages.

As media partners, Clash has teamed up with the Manchester promoters Now Wave to bring you the Now Wave stage on the Sunday, featuring previous Clash cover stars The Horrors and King Krule. Also on the bill for this Sunday only stage will be Everything Everything, Toy, Liars, Savages, Toro Y Moi, Post War Years and special guest Johnny Marr.

Tickets for Parklife are available now, priced £69.50 and can be purchased from the website. Alternatively, festivalgoers can also head to Manchester’s Eastern Bloc Records, Fallowfield's Font Bar, the Red Lion in Withington, Crash Records in Leeds and Liverpool's 3B Records.
