Owls Announce First-Ever UK Tour

Influential emo act comes to Blighty…

It can’t have escaped your attention that Chicago’s Owls not only regrouped a couple of years back, but just the other month released a long-overdue second LP, titled simply ‘Two’. And if you did miss that memo, go catch up

Now, the Tim Kinsella-fronted foursome – hugely influential, with their sound kissing the pleasure sensors of untold indie-cum-emo acts to have emerged in their late-’00s wake – are bringing the songs of ‘Two’ (and, presumably, some tracks from their eponymous 2001 LP, too) to the UK for a series of live performances. Add ‘em up, you’ve got yourself a tour. The band’s first ever one, indeed, on these ‘ere British shores.

Dates, we’ve got some…

September
14th – Brudenell Social Club, Leeds
15th – The Maze, Nottingham
16th – Audio, Glasgow
17th – Deaf Institute, Manchester
18th – Epic Studios, Norwich
19th – The Dome, Tufnell Park, London
20th – Fighting Cocks, Kingston

Owls are on That Facebook here. Check out their song ‘I’m Surprised’, from the Polyvinyl-released ‘Two’, below…
