One of the summer’s top musical weekends is set to return with Get Loaded In The Park releasing the first names on its line up.
Set in central London, Get Loaded In The Park combines legendary musicians with some brand new names. Taking place just yards away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the festival has fun for all the family taking place over the August bank holiday weekend.
Heading up this year’s sixth annual event are rave heroes Orbital. Formed in the aftermath of the Acid House explosion, Orbital are living legends in British dance music. A famously thrilling live act, Orbital blend dance euphoria with the improvisation more commonly associated with rock groups.
The duo have been on hiatus for some time, and this date will be their only London festival appearance of the summer.
“We’re really excited to be playing at Get Loaded” beams Paul Hartnoll. “It should be a fantastic way to end the summer festival season and we’ve heard some great reports from friends who have been. It’s brilliant to be playing a big outdoor show in London.”
A limited number of early bird tickets go on sale today (February 24th) with briefs going on general sale on Thursday (February 26th). The full line up for the event will be released soon, with over 30 live acts set to perform across four stages.
Get Loaded In The Park takes place on Clapham Common, London on August 20th.
