Mouthy British indie act Razorlight, David Guetta and ex Destiny’s Child diva Kelly Rowland are among the confirmed acts for this year’s Orange RockCorps event in London.
Taking place on 25th September at cavernous London venue the Royal Albert Hall, Orange RockCorps combines great pop music and work in the community, with fans volunteering in various projects in return for tickets.
Only the supporting bands have been announced so far, and the warm-up acts will also include Daniel Merriweather and Chase and Status, while an extra special headliner is yet to be revealed.
RockCorps founder Stephen Greene said of the line-up: “This is such a great and wide ranging slate of artists, we might just blow the dome off the hall this year. Apologies to Queen Victoria!”
This year sees more than 60 volunteer projects taking place across the capital, covering issues such as housing, the environment and education.
The London event follows the success of a similar gig in Manchester, which saw thousands of volunteers gain tickets to see The Enemy, Lady GaGa, VV Brown, N-Dubz and Tinchy Strider.
Channel 4 are broadcasting coverage of the volunteering as well as the show from the Albert Hall.
