Manchester musical giants Oasis are due to head up a stunning bill at this year’s V Festival.
Held across two sites in Chelmsford and Staffordshire, V Festival is one of Britain’s biggest musical weekenders. Known as one of the more mainstream events of the summer season, V nonetheless has an eclectic bill that caters for all tastes.
Oasis have only confirmed a handful of British festival appearances. Due to play the Eden Sessions, the group are concentrating on their forthcoming UK stadium tour which will take in some massive venues over the summer.
The Killers have been confirmed for T In The Park, and the Las Vegas group are also set to stun the V Festival crowd. A brilliant live band, current album ‘Day And Age’ has thrown the band into the upper echelons of the charts.
Other groups confirmed for the two day event are Razorlight, Snow Patrol and timid trio Keane. Foul mouthed pop pixie Lily Allen will also join in the fun, and she will be joined by reformed 2-Tone giants The Specials.
Elbow will follow their recent success at the Brit awards with a no doubt sensational set, and the Bury group will play alongside the now solo Peter Doherty.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (March 6th).
V Festival takes place between August 22nd – 23rd.
