Oasis Confirm Intimate Show

One off date announced

Oasis are set to return to their roots after announcing one of their most intimate shows in some time.

Oasis don’t do things by halves. When announcing a new tour the band confirmed some of their biggest venues in a decade, with their spectacular homecoming shows in Manchester’s Heaton Park bringing to mind their epochal stint at Knebworth.

Taking alongside a stunning support cast, other acts on the bill included Kasabian and The Enemy – both of whom are able to fill arenas in their own right.

Keen to support new talent, Oasis also took Twisted Wheel along for the ride with the Oldham group playing in front of thousands at Heaton Park. Finishing their UK tour with a trio of shows at Wembley, Oasis are set to follow their biggest jaunt in some time with one of their most intimate shows in years.

The band are due to headline V Festival next month, but before then Oasis will play the tiny Bridlington Spa on August 20th. Tickets are strictly limited to four per person, with the show being one of the biggest things to hit Bridlington in some time.

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday (July 15th) with support coming from up and coming indie group Detroit Social Club.

Meanwhile, Oasis have also confirmed that they are due to release several rare tracks via iTunes. Recent album highlight ‘(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady’ was given a sensational remix by Devendra Banhart recently.

The songwriter asked Oasis to remix one of their tracks, and was allowed to choose which one to work with. Picking the raucous ‘(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady’ Banhart has introduced subtle psychedelic elements in one of the more unusual Oasis remixes to be released.

Also due to be made available through iTunes are the tracks ‘I Believe In All’ and ‘The Boy With The Blues’.

Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher has made it clear that he won’t be wearing anything from brother Liam’s fashion line Pretty Green. “Shall we move on?” Oasis blog Stop Crying Your Heart Out reported the guitarist as saying, before adding: “He wears it all the time. He wears it all, down to the socks. He’s all kitted out.”

Continuing, Gallagher Snr said “(fashion is) a function. I dress because nudity is outlawed on the street.”

Oasis have confirmed the following tour date:

August
20 Bridlington Spa
