Oasis Are Not Playing Glastonbury (Or Any Other Festival)

The band rule out speculation...

Oasis have ruled out playing Glastonbury Festival next summer – or, indeed, any other festival.

The Gallagher brothers patched up their differences this week, with Oasis reforming for some colossal tour dates. Tickets go on sale this Friday (August 31st) and demand for the stadium shows is expected to set records tumbling.

Opening in Cardiff next year, confirmed dates include London’s Wembley Stadium, Manchester’s Heaton Park, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, and Dublin’s Croke Park.

The announcement sparked feverish speculation, with some believing that Oasis would headline Glastonbury next summer. After all, Noel Gallagher goes every year, right? CLASH even spotted him enjoying an afterhours Kneecap moment at Worthy Farm this very summer.

Sadly, it won’t be happening. In a short statement on social media Oasis have ruled out playing Glastonbury. In the note, the band insist that they won’t be playing an festival at all – the only way you can see them perform is by going to the tour.

Check out the note below.
