O. Children are amongst the 18 new acts confirmed for the bill of Welsh music event SWN.
Spread across the whole of Cardiff, SWN is one of the UK’s largest showcase events. A place where new bands can become noticed, the festival mixes live performances with panels featuring industry experts.
This year the event is set to be bigger than ever, with a host of new additions. Amongst the latest names confirmed for the bill are O. Children, whose dark, brooding debut has won warm reviews.
Recalling Nick Cave and The Cure, O. Children have an almost gothic glaze to their music. The band are set to play at the Cardiff event, following a nationwide tour in support of their debut album.
Other new additions include The Victorian English Gentlemen’s Club and Magic Kids, with a total of eighteen acts added to the bill.
SWN takes control of venues across the Welsh capital, running between October 21st – 23rd. Alongside the musical performances fans can expect some informative analysis from industry insiders at the famed panels.
The Welsh event is a great place to catch new music, with Manchester dance rockers Egyptian Hip Hop set to perform. The Vaccines are due to attend, while London based indie poppers Veronica Falls are also set to play.
Part of a new wave if indie pop groups across the UK, Veronica Falls grew out of legendary Glasgow mavericks The Royal We. With only two singles under their belt, the London band have found themselves surrounded in hype.
Other new additions to the bill include Munch Munch, Wilder, The Computers, Union Jackals and more. Established acts such as Paul Heaton are also due to appear, with more bands still to be confirmed.
SWN is due to take place between October 21st – 23rd.
