Nova Festival has added a new wave of names to the line up for this summer’s event.
Set in the West Sussex countryside estate at Bignor Park in Pulborough, Sussex Nova Festival is a new name on the summer calendar. Yet the event has already captured attention with its creative approach to scheduling.
Organisers have confirmed another wave of announcements to underline this. Nova Festival has a commitment to the visual arts, and respected Glasgow based illustrator David Shrigley is set to join the party.
A massive music fan, David Shrigley is capable of spinning an eclectic set when given time behind the turntables. Moving from classic indie pop to Northern soul to funk and house, the artist will join Doug Fishbone’s Adventureland Golf.
Elsewhere, the 12 Months Of Neon project will also re-locate to Nova. Artists Victoria Lucas and Richard Wheater peppered Leeds with signs replicating some of their favourite lyrics, inspired varied reactions from passers by.
A beautiful sight, the neon signs will litter the Sussex site as fans soak up an eclectic array of sounds. Nova co-organiser Katrina Larkin: “I’m a sucker for neon so I love this piece exhibiting at Nova, where famous lyrics have been produced as visual art pieces, a fantastic cross-over of art and music”.
DJ sets will come from Belle & Sebastian’s Chris Geddes, who will perform at Nova after helping to curate their instalment in the Late Night Tales series. Chillout heroes Zero 7 will also stop by, with plenty more names yet to be confirmed.
Live music additions include tUnE-yArDs, Ghostpoet, Jessie Ware, Fionn Regan and more with extra additions expected in the run up to the event.
Tickets are on sale now.
Nova Festival runs between July 5th – 8th.
