Sonar have added the likes of Nicolas Jaar and Liars to the line up of their 20th anniversary event.
Born in Barcelona, Sonar is now a global phenomenon. Hosting events around the world, the festival is set to return to its hometown this summer for a very special 20th birthday party. The Sonar team are already hard at work perfecting the line up, recently unveiling a series of new names.
Avant techno producer Nicolas Jaar will bring his acclaimed live show to the festival, with the beatsmith continuing to lead the way in sheer dazzling audio / visual virtuosity.
Elsewhere, American group Liars are set to perform at Sonar. Continually striving to move forward, the band fuse an impeccable studio sensibility with an improvisational sense which makes them one of the most beguiling live groups around.
Alongside this, British trio Darkstar are planning to unveil material from their new, Warp Records backed album while Delorean, Gold Panda, Christeene and more are planning to take part.
As a special surprise, dub legends Adrian Sherwood and Pinch are set to cross swords with a collaborative album widely expected to drop later this year.
The new names join an already glittering line up which includes Kraftwerk, Pet Shop Boys, Two Dollar Cinema Club, Lindstrom & Todd Terje and Vatican Shadow.
