Hugely acclaimed American songwriter Neko Case is set to return to the UK for a series of live dates.
Country music is built on strong women. From The Carter Family to Emmylou Harris the female voice has dominated Americana, giving a gritty, alternative view to life on the other side of the gender divide in the United States.
Neko Case is one of the foremost songwriters of her generation. Hailing from Virginia the singer mixes established country styles with an awareness of advances in mainstream songwriting.
Blending pop with Americana, Neko Case never shies away from the blunt realities that surround us. Working on her own, with a band or in The New Pornographers Neko Case never fails to surprise or inspire.
Now signed to Anti- Records, Neko Case released her new album ‘Middle Cyclone’ earlier this year. Hailed by critics, it was massive success on both sides of the Atlantic with the album debuting at number three on the Billboard chart.
Since then, Neko Case has toured extensively and even released a special iTunes only album. Returning to the UK for a series of live dates, Neko Case is set to showcase ‘Middle Cyclone’ alongside a wealth of new material.
Beginning with a few Irish dates Neko Case’ forthcoming tour will snake around the country before climaxing with a very special show at London’s Barbican venue.
