Neil Young For Hard Rock Calling

Fleet Foxes also on bill

This year’s debut Hard Rock Calling event has unveiled another star name with Neil Young set to join proceedings.

Taking place on London’s Hyde Park, Hard Rock Calling will turn the public park into a centre for rock and roll! Already the event has confirmed Bruce Springsteen as a headliner, and The Boss will be joined by a host of special guests.

Neil Young is set to release his new solo album ‘Fork In The Road’ soon. A concept album about electric cars, it sees ol’ Neil dig out his electric guitar for some blues based action.

The Canadian musician will play a very special set at the event, and he will be joined by stars both young and old. Fleet Foxes’ debut album has become a word of mouth sensation, with music fans responding to its crisp production and stunning harmonies.

The Seattle based band will perform at Hard Rock Calling alongside such musical legends as The Pretenders and award winning American songwriter Ben Harper.

Pretenders’ singer Chrissie Hynde said in a statement: “We would play a garden shed to be on a bill with Neil Young but Hyde Park – summer – with ‘The Loner’? This is what makes a thousand hours on tour buses all worthwhile. This is why people get in bands.”

Hard Rock Calling is due to take place between June 27th – 28th.
