neil young and the chrome hearts will headline BST Hyde Park this summer.
The band – led by the venerable Canadian-born songwriter – have already confirmed a Glastonbury headline slot, and will seemingly play other festivals during summer.
Hitting the road, neil young and the chrome hearts will play BST Hyde Park in Central London, topping a lavish bill on July 11th.
Neil Young is of course an old hand at this – he headlined Hyde Park in 2014, and returned for a 2019 co-headliner with Bob Dylan.
The support bill this time round is littered with legends – Yusuf, once-known as Cat Stevens, will appear, alongside Northern Irish artist Van Morrison.
This month, Neil Young announced he has finished recording a new album with the chrome hearts, writing on the Neil Young Archives: “It is a happy feeling I have today, knowing I have made an album I think people will enjoy. I hope it’s out in April. That would be pretty fast. Playing with the Chrome Hearts was a joy as we recorded song after song at Shangrila in Malibu. I wrote these songs in November and December. They feel fresh to me and I am very happy to have this all ready for you. It won’t be long now and it will be great to have new songs to play on the road this summer in Europe, the USA and Canada. We are looking forward to that!”
