Glastonbury organisers have unveiled two more headliners – Neil Young and Blur!
Last year’s instalment of musical fun at Worthy Farm was dogged by bad press. Music lovers complained of poor ticketing procedures while a host of critics slated the bill with the inclusion of Jay-Z prompting much discussion.
However this year the festival has enjoyed nothing but good press. An innovative new ticketing procedure has meant Glastonbury has sold out months in advance, while the bill is already shaping up to be a classic.
Bruce Springsteen has already been confirmed to play his first ever set at the event, and in a new interview Michael Eavis discusses one of the other headliners.
“Neil Young to play this year is a dream come true for me personally,” he told BBC Newsbeat.
Blur will also headline the event, organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed. “We’re absolutely over the moon to have them back” she told the official Glastonbury site.
Blur last played the festival in 1998.
Michael Eavis previously stated that the event would have four headliners, with two being British and two hailing from the United States. With only one slot left to fill, which British act will it be?
