Black Deer Festival has outlined the first names for its 2023 line up.
The festival is one of Europe’s key Americana outputs, matching country to rock and beyond for an eclectic line up. Wilco headlined this summer, with Black Deer teaming up with Clash to support new artists in a special project.
The festival returns in 2023, and the first names have been confirmed. Black Deer will welcome soulful rockers Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats for a storming performance, joined by greats such as Bonnie Raitt, Lucinda Williams and Allison Russell.
Calexico are set to perform, while elsewhere you can catch sets from The Teskey Brothers, Robert Vincent, Bella White, and more.
Bonnie Raitt comments: “I’m really looking forward to coming to Black Deer Festival. I hear it’s a real home away from home for American musicians. See you next summer!”
Founders of the Black Deer Festival, Gill Tee and Debs Shilling, add: “We are thrilled to reveal the first names for Black Deer Festival 2023. Bonnie Raitt, Nathaniel Rateliff, Lucinda Williams, Allison Russell… it reads like a who’s who of Americana music past and present. We can’t wait to welcome our community back into the deer park to enjoy it all!”
Black Deer Festival runs between June 16th – 18th. Tickets are on sale now.
