Teignmouth stadium proggers Muse have stormed Coachella with a spectacular performance.

Set in the desert, Coachella is one of the most important festivals in the United States. Gathering thousands of fans in California the event has earned a reputation for gaining special performances.

However this year a little Icelandic volcano has interfered with matters. A vast cloud of volcanic ash has spewed forth over Northern Europe, crippling the continents transport network.

A number of British acts were forced to postpone, although a few did escape the grip of the volcano. Muse managed to play at the festival, storming Coachella with a larger than life performance.

The trio are completing a world tour, which is set to drop by Britain this summer. Before then, however, Muse performed a stunning headline slot at Coachella cementing their relationship with the United States.

The band played sections of their latest album, adding in some special covers. At one point throwing in elements of a Hendrix inspired version of ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ the group later covered Nirvana.

Blasting through a short version of ‘School’ the trio were on ferocious form. Improvising a short song about Coachella, Muse used a fake mariachi score including some Morricone style riffs.

Ending with ‘Knights Of Cydonia’ Muse finished their set with a huge blast of lasers and fireworks.
