Returning stadium-prog outfit Muse have announced they will be playing a show in Paris next Tuesday (September 8th).
Muse are one of the most mind blowing live experiences on the planet. The British trio have risen from cult obscurity to become one of the biggest rock groups around, capable of filling stadiums with their epic wail.
However studio material has been thin on the ground recently. Muse have retreated to Italy to work on their first album in three years, with ‘The Resistance’ due for release later this year.
Containing symphonic elements ‘The Resistance’ is also deeply influenced by glam and of course prog. Huge in size and ambition, the forthcoming album by Muse will undoubtedly be one of the year’s biggest releases.
The band are set to launch the album with a spectacular live return in their hometown of Teignmouth. Set by the South Coast the town is a sleepy English settlement which is due to be woken up by some hefty slabs of rock.
Muse will play The Den in Teignmouth on Friday (September 4th) and Saturday (September 5th). Highlights from the shows are due to be broadcast on BBC Radio 1 as part of a night’s programming devoted to the band.
The group are due to continue their comeback with a secret show in Paris. Muse will play the French capital on Tuesday (September 8th) but as yet have not revealed the location of the show.
Making the announcement via their official site Muse explained that details of the show will be broadcast on Virgin Radio France at 8am (CEST) on the day of the show.
Muse are set to release ‘The Resistance’ on September 14th.
