Muse Cancel North American Dates

Two shows postponed

Teignmouth stadium prog outfit Muse have cancelled two shows on their upcoming North American tour.

One of the most spectacular live experiences in rock right now, Muse launched their latest world tour earlier this year. Confirming their biggest North American tour to date, the trio unveiled some mammoth shows.

Set to open later this year, Muse have been forced to postpone two dates and re-arrange several more. However it’s not for reasons of ill health, but rather poor scheduling – bass player Chris Wolstenholme is expecting the birth of his fifth child.

A devoted family man, the bass player intends to fly out from North America to be at his wife’s bedside. The bass player will then fly back into the United States to continue the tour, with two dates falling by the wayside.

In a statement Muse assured fans that they “haven’t forgotten them,” adding that they “will make up these cancelled shows on a future tour”.

Meanwhile, fans in Columbus will have their show moved from November 5th to October 12th. Elsewhere, the Cincinnati show will be re-arranged with the gig moving from November 6th to October 11th.

As usual, fans who cannot make the re-scheduled dates are fully entitled to receive their money back.

Meanwhile, Muse are preparing to unleash a new single. The band have donated a new song to the soundtrack of ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ with ‘Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)’ set to be the lead single.

A typically extravagant slice of pomp-rock the single will precede a busy summer for Muse, with the trio set to return to Glastonbury as headliners.
