Mumford & Sons For Glastonbury – Ticket Details

Michael Eavis reveals...

London based folk rockers Mumford And Sons are to perform at this summer’s Glastonbury festival.

Glastonbury is one of the biggest music events in Europe. Despite the culture of the event changing in recent years it holds a mystical allure over British youth, with over 100,000 of them making their way to Worthy Farm.

As ever, details on the final line up are scarce. U2, Muse and Stevie Wonder have all confirmed their involvement with a full breakdown of the performers due to be released sometime next month.

Now organiser Michael Eavis has confirmed that British folk rockers are Mumford And Sons are set to perform at the Somerset event.

Speaking to online station Glastonbury FM, the genial farmer was asked what music he was listening to recently. “A band called Mumford and Sons, you might get fed up with it eventually but I’m still enjoying it. They will be playing up in the Park this year, so that’ll be good” he revealed.

Mumford And Sons released their debut album ‘Sigh No More’ last year. A remarkable word of mouth success, it has crashed into the Top 10 with the band set to complete vast sell out tour of the UK.

Meanwhile, Michael Eavis has revealed that he and his daughter Emily would love Snoop Dogg to play at the event. The rapper’s much publicised ban on entering the UK was recently lifted.

The final batch of tickets for Glastonbury go on sale from April 11th.

Glastonbury takes place between June 25th – 27th.
