Mogwai To Curate Glasgow’s Big City Festival

It takes place on June 29th...

Mogwai will curate the new Big City Festival in Glasgow.

The band return to their home city this summer, headlining – and curating – Big City 2024. The festival is a joint partnership with Scottish independent promoter Regular Music, with Mogwai hand-picking the line-up.

The event takes place on June 29th in Queen’s Park, boasting 12 acts across two stages, with White Rabbit Books assisting on the literary tent.

The support cast is glittering, too – expect sets from seminal shoegaze group Slowdive, returning songwriter Nadine Shah, Neu! guru Michael Rother, and SAY Away winner Kathryn Joseph.

Cloth will appear at Big City, alongside Elisabeth Elektra, Free Love, London post-punk outfit Goat Girl, and the wonderful Sacred Paws.

Says Mogwai’s Stuart Braithwaite: “We are proud to announce the inaugural Big City festival in Glasgow this June in partnership with Regular Music. It’s great for us to have this event in our hometown of Glasgow. It’s an honour to have so many brilliant artists join us for what promises to be a special day.”

Tickets are available from 9am on Friday, February 9th via www.bigcity.scot
