Spain’s Summercase festival has already announced an incredible, but is set to add to it with performances from the likes of Mogwai, 2ManyDJs, Edwyn Collins and Primal Scream.
The new announcements give a Scottish flavour to the event, with several of the new acts coming from Glasgow. Mogwai are set to play their debut album “Young Team” in its entirety, whilst fellow Glaswegian Edwyn Collins has battled back from severe ill health to play the festival. Primal Scream, of course, are fronted by Scottish musical legend Bobby Gillespie.
Other acts newly confirmed for the festival include Kaiser Chiefs, former Clash cover stars The Kooks and Santogold. The event takes place between Madrid and Barcelona, uniting these two rival cities through music. Summercase has grown to become one of the pre-eminent music festivals on mainland Europe, with this year’s event set to host over 100,000 people.
Summercase ’08 is set to take place over the weekend of July 18th – 19th between Barcelona and Madrid.
