Modest Mouse have decided to cancel all upcoming British shows – in order to finish their new album.
Ah, the long wait for new Modest Mouse material…
Seems like t'was only yesterday that a youthful Clash sat down to explore 'We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank' but here we are, six years on, waiting for new material.
The band delighted more than a few souls by confirming plans for a full UK tour this summer, including a one off show at historic London redoubt the Roundhouse.
Sadly, those dates – alongside a wider European jaunt – have now been axed so that the band can knuckle down and get on with their new album.
Quoth the Mouse:
After much thought, we have decided to cancel our EU/UK tour to continue work on our forthcoming album. We do appreciate our fans and promise that we will make it up to you next year.
Refunds will be available at the point of purchase.
We look forward to sharing our new music with the world next year.
