On September 6th Moby will perform a rare stripped back set at Rough Trade East in London accompanied by a small string section and live vocalists Joy Malcolm and Kelli Scarr.
Rough Trade East will also be exhibiting sixteen of Moby’s drawings previously shown at The Maurice Einhardt Gallery. The naïve, simplistic drawings explore a more melancholic side to each of the songs from the occasionally dark and unsettling album ‘Wait For Me’ (read ClashMusic’s review HERE).
On September 14th Moby will release new single ‘Mistake’ on his own label, Little Idiot Records. It’s the third song, and most conventional in terms of song structure, to be taken from the ‘Wait For Me’ album. It is also the only song taken from the album on which Moby sings. ‘Mistake’ has a clear Joy Division influence from the soaring synths and shuffling drum beats to the emotionally afflicted lyrics, “Don’t hurt me again”.
