Miles Kane and Maximo Park are set to play homecoming shows as part of JD Roots.
There's no place like home…
Pop culture is littered with fabled homecomings. From Franz Ferdinand performing at Glasgow Art School to Oasis taking to the stage at Maine Road, there's something special, something quite intangible about the hometown show.
Returning for another instalment, the JD Roots projects aims to supply a little more magic. Maximo Park have agreed to be involved, with the North East band set to take to the stage at Newcastle's Cluny venue.
Taking place on May 2nd, the show will be followed by Scouse songbird Miles Kane visiting Liverpool's Zanzibar on May 15th. Part of a five strong series of shows, tickets for each date will be available to a selected batch of competition winners.
