Canadian synth-pop stormers Metric are due to return with their new album ‘Fantasies’ in April, as well as now playing a handful of live shows in May.
The new-wave popsters are set to return any time now, with lead single ‘Help, I’m Alive’ already signaling their sound may have become harder than before, a building, Breeders-esque return.
Led by singer Emily Haines – who herself also plays in influential collective Broken Social Scene – Metric have been silent since their ’05 album ‘Live It Out’, however the band will return with second single ‘Front Row’ in the coming week.
