Slovenian festival MENT Ljubljana will expand for this year’s instalment.
The event specialises in platforming underground and left-field music from across Europe, giving space to voices otherwise shunted to the margins. Returning in March, MENT utilises spaces across Ljubljana, with 15 venues joining forces to form the crux of the festival.
Amongst the new endeavours for 2023 are The Baltic Focus, a joint initiative dedicated to the vibrant scenes of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania; it’s co-produced by Music Estonia, Music Latvia and the Lithuanian Music Business Association with the support of the Baltic Cultural Fund.
Elsewhere, MENT Ljubljana links with SONICA and SHAPE+ platform with an exclusively curated SONICA & SHAPE+ Stage, highlighting electronic communities from across Eastern Europe.
31 new acts have just been added to the bill, including Croatian post-hardcore outfit ###, Latvian indie dance duo Bel Tempo, Hungarian indie pop voice boebeck, Irish group Just Mustard, and Lithuanian noisemakers Plié.

MENT Ljubjana takes place between March 29th – 31st.
