Matthew Dear is set to take his full band out on tour this December – ticket details below.
Gosh darn Matthew Dear is handsome. Talented, too. New album 'Beams' finds the producer on imperious form, easing himself into the arch-hipster dance throne vacated by James Murphy earlier this summer. Knowing, witty and easy to dance to 'Beams' is one of the most impressive albums – remember those? – to lurch from the electronic sphere in 2012.
With that in mind, Clash are pretty excited to hear that Matthew Dear will be taking to the stage this December. Bringing his full band with him, the show fuses live electronics with Matthew Dear's natural showmanship. Sayeth the man himself: “I have never felt more certain of myself on stage as I now do… There are so many ways to convey music in a live setting, and it has to impact the viewer theatrically.”
Opening in Birmingham on December 1st, the shows include visits to Manchester, Bristol and London. Tickets are on sale now.
