Massive Attack For The Big Chill

Plus M.I.A. to perform live

Bristol trip hop legends Massive Attack are set to headline a star-studded instalment of The Big Chill.

Set in Eastnor Castle Deer Park, The Big Chill has grown to become one of the summer’s pivotal events. It’s line up caters for all the family, with the emphasis on quality rather than novelty.

Which isn’t to say that The Big Chill won’t be dominated by big names. Returning for another instalment the Herefordshire event has confirmed the first instalment of its line up with Bristol legends Massive Attack set to perform.

Coming out of a self-imposed hiatus last year, Massive Attack have not put a foot wrong since their return. 3D and Daddy G hooked up with a host of guest singers for new album ‘Heligoland’ which, while it may not scale the heights of their peak, is nonetheless one of the finest records to cross our path this year.

With an incredible back catalogue to draw on, Massive Attack are appropriate headliners for The Big Chill. Joining the trip hop dons will be controversial Sri Lankan born star M.I.A.

Initially a visual artist, M.I.A. produces music unlike anyone else right now. Mixing influences from across the world, her deeply political albums have led to increasing focus on music from out with the Western world.

Returning for its 16th year, The Big Chill will welcome M.I.A. alongside a host of new additions. British rapper Roots Manuva is set to drop by while the likes of dubstep trio Magnetic Man are due to perform.

Mixing rock with dance, electronic with acoustic The Big Chill will return this summer with a typically unique line up.

The Big Chill takes place between August 5th – 8th.
