Ticket details announced

Manic Street Preachers have confirmed details of a short arena tour ahead of the festival season.

Returning with their grandiose new album, Manic Street Preachers vowed to have one last shot at the mainstream. The trio were rewarded with a Top Ten placing, as 'Postcards From A Young Man' delighted fans and surprised critics.

A rejuvenated set, the euphoria of the new album follows the dark, despairing material on 'Journal For Plague Lovers'. The logical follow up to 'Send Away The Tigers' the trio are on typically impassioned form.

Since then, the band have barely let up. An appearance on 'Strictly Come Dancing' demonstrated that Manic Street Preachers still had their sense of humour, with Nicky Wire pogoing on the Saturday night show.

Ending a massive UK tour in December, Manic Street Preachers are now set to play three arena dates. The huge shows are set to begin on May 18th, with a show in Llandudno's Cymru Arena.

The short burst of dates continues with a show in Wolverhampton on May 19th, before finishing with a Cardiff date. Taking place at the Cardiff International Arena on May 21st, the show ends of quickfire burst of dates.

Support on all three dates comes from The Joy Formidable, with Nicky Wire insisting that the shows will be "a warm-up for the festival season".

Meanwhile, Manic Street Preachers are planning to release their latest single 'Postcards From A Young Man' on February 28th.

Tickets are set to go on sale from 9am this Friday (February 18th).
