After all, the Midlands as a whole contains an astonishing number of people, and has birthed everything from heavy metal to 2-Tone and back again.
M*A*D*E aims to re-dress this balance - in an electronic sense, at least. Taking place at the vast Digbeth complex, the event runs between May 2nd - 5th with the line up already taking shape.
Through her role on Radio 1 Annie Mac has become a gatekeeper for countless fans, with the DJ's taste helping to shape entire genres.
Due to perform at M*A*D*E, Annie Mac will be joined by house guru (and UK number one artist) MK, with Jaguar Skills, Redlight, Bondax and more taking part.
On a bass tip, Breakage and Chase & Status will appear at M*A*D*E, while grime MC turned crossover artist Meridian Dan is also due to perform.
