Bristol event lines up a powerhouse bill...

Bristol festival FORWARDS has revealed the first names on its 2024 line-up.

The festival closes the UK Sumer season, running between August 31st to September 1st. There’s a real community ethos to FORWARDS, combined with an eclecticism that makes for a distinctive, in-depth line-up that crosses genre lines.

Mercury nominated rapper Loyle Carner will headline on the Saturday night, topping a magical bill that also finds room for seminal UK producer Four Tet.

On Sunday, fans can anticipate a set from New York legends LCD Soundsystem, in addition to a set from South London’s very own disco queen Jessie Ware.

Elsewhere, you can catch Floating Points, Greentea Peng, Romy xx, jazz virtuoso Yussef Dayes, and Irish country-pop breakout CMAT.

Jazz saxophonist Nubya Garcia will perform at FORWARDS, joined on the line-up by Crazy P, MCRY, Hak Baker, Yard Act, and Jersey.

Tom Paine, Co-founder of Team Love: “FORWARDS is back for its third year, and we couldn’t be prouder. Each year it grows, evolves and delivers even more for the city of Bristol and beyond. From an international and genre-spanning music lineup to future thinking talks, initiatives and with a growing-in-popularity kids area, FORWARDS is the perfect day out for everyone”.

Early bird day admission starts at £55 with weekend tickets available from £99.50. Concessions are available for children aged 5-15, local residents and low income individuals. As in 2023, FORWARDS will offer discounted NHS tickets to those that work there.

FORWARDS runs between August 31st – September 1st.
