Magic Loungeabout festival will take a break this summer, returning in 2010.
Hidden away in Yorkshire, Loungeabout is a wonderful boutique event that combines a very selective bill with world class food and drink. Last year’s event boasted appearances from Ladytron, Nouvelle Vague, The Egg and many more, with the festival proving to be a huge success.
Sadly, Magic Loungabout won’t be returning this summer. In a statement founder Simon Adamson said “we feel this year is an unprecedented year and we don’t want to make any compromises on the quality of Magic Loungeabout. We pride ourselves on providing a unique experience with high production values.”
“We will be coming back stronger than ever in 2010 with our first announcement in September 2009 so watch this space!”
Better news for Loungeabout fans is the news that the event will be extended to two days, and will take place on a new site. Putting their heads together organisers have come up with a range of sparkling new ideas, such as breakfast in bed for campers.
With more details yet to emerge, the next instalment of Magic Loungeabout looks to be the best yet. Sadly, though, you’ll have to wait a year to e joy it.
