Lounge On The Farm Expands

Moshi Moshi / Wichita invade event

Some of Britain’s finest independent talent is set to invade Lounge On The Farm this summer.

Held on Merton Farm, Lounge On The Farm is a rapidly emerging boutique event in Canterbury. Aimed at families, the festival contains a host of activities alongside the usual musical fare.

This year reggae legends Toots And The Maytals are set to perform, with Motown legends Martha Reeves And The Vandellas also due to drop by.

However Lounge On The Farm also supports new and emerging talent, with the event set to team up with two of Britain’s finest independent labels.

Moshi Moshi and Wichita are due to host a sheep dip area, sharing some of the most talked about new acts in the country between them. The two labels will unite across the weekend to host a very special new arena.

From Moshi Moshi: the endearing folk pop of Slow Club, the mysterious electro pop of Silver Columns, the Scouse art punk rakcte that is Hot Club De Paris and more.

From Wichita: Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit, newcomers Gold Panda, Dam Mantle and plenty more.

With Lounge On The Farm celebrating its fifth anniversary later this year organisers are planning a host of surprise announcements. Keep checking back to find out the latest updates!

Lounge On The Farm takes place between July 9th – 11th.
