Lounge On The Farm has expanded again, with Mystery Jets, Roots Manuva and more added to the bill.
Held on Merton Farm in Canterbury, Lounge On The Farm is aptly named. Renowned for its laid back atmosphere, the festival has grown to become a popular, family oriented alternative to some of the big names.
Returning this summer, Lounge On The Farm have confirmed an appearance from Eel Pie Island’s finest, Mystery Jets. Currently preparing their new album, the band will break cover to play on Merton Farm.
Joining them will be Roots Manuva. One of the foremost voices in UK hip hop, the MC has spent more than fifteen years mashing together rap, Dancehall and electronic music with his output continually pushing the boundaries.
Never one to rest on his laurels, Roots Manuva will drop by Lounge On The Farm for a no doubt lively performance.
The ever expanding bill also includes an appearance from David Rodigan. A renowned reggae enthusiast, the DJ was recently honoured with an MBE – if his skanking sets are good enough for the Queen then you’ve got no excuse…
Elsewhere, drum ‘n’ bass legend Goldie is due to appear with Emile Sande and The Wombats also planning to take part.
Finally, Chic have also been added to the bill. Free of cancer and working with Daft Punk (apparently) Niles Rodgers leads a rejuvenated version of the disco dons, who will work through a set containing some of their iconic hits.
Aside from the bill, Lounge On The Farm organisers are also working to ensure that campers have the best time possible. Expanding the première camping area, ticket holders can expect more pitches for Yurts, Bell Tents and Teepee’s, luxury toilets and showers, plus an appointed Boutique area manager to personally deal with all campers.
Lounge On The Farm runs between July 6th – 8th.
