Loud Women Fest returns to its eighth instalment this year.
The strictly DIY event was formed out of disgust with the prevailing status quo in live music, the organisers witnessing a flurry of male-only headline bills. In response, Loud Women was formed – and they’ve never looked back.
Hosted at London’s Rich Mix venue, this year’s one-dayer takes place on September 7th, with more than 1000 acts applying to perform.
The line-up is rich in quality, attracting acts from across the globe – USA, Indonesia, France, Ireland and UK.
Italian-Punjabi teens Baby Said will hit the festival, joined by Brooklyn gloom-punks Desert Sharks, hotly-tipped Dublin outfit The Amniotics, Newport riot grrrl informed Murder Club and more.
Essex grunge songwriter Bridget will perform at Loud Women, with the bill also finding space for Cherym, Yacko, Zoe Sky Jordan, and Berry Galazka.
Founder, musician and lecturer Cassie Fox comments…
“This is our most international lineup yet! It’s going to be a righteous and riotous global gathering of the most badass music makers. It’s all-ages too, so bring the kids and inspire the next generation of punks!”
