Los Campesinos! Rock T

Welsh Wizards Create History

Twee-core overlords Los Campesinos! have rocked T In The Park with a storming set to open the King Tuts Wah Wah Tent – the festivals earliest ever performance.

T In The Park was for over a decade a two day event, only expanding to include a third day of musical mayhem in 2007. The newly established King Tuts Wah Wah Tent is run by the legendary Glasgow venue, and Los Campesinos! were only too happy to play the historic show.

The band formed in Wales, and joked with the audience that “We’re from Cardiff, in Wales, which is near Bristol, in England!”. Some audience members didn’t see the funny side, and bizarrely booed the band. Los Campesinos! are part of a new wave of groups who reference the 80s twee indie scene, and recently sold out the King Tuts venue in Glasgow – making them the ideal choice to open the new tent.
