A Friday night party for Friday night people we welcome the most adventurous protagonists in bass each time along with a svelte live act to get your weekend off to its fittings start. October 7th might just be the watershed in electronic music you’ve been restlessly searching for.
Headlining October’s event is L-Vis 1990, the man of angular rhythms whose collision of house, UKFunky and deep advanced bass has pushed him to new ground with his new album ‘Neon Dreams’ to the top of our CD piles in the Clash office.
In able support is Raffertie, Ninja Tune’s new game changer. Whether its perfecting the dubstep wobble before nimbly shooting off to discover more complex ground, Raffertie’s vision of dance music is as wide as it is sophisticated. He’s even done a little party edit especially for Clash that douses his love of a groove in a deep bed of acid – keep a close eye on ‘Track Of The Day’ next week.
Completing the triumvirate of musical guests is New Look, a pair of Canadian lovers whose fresh wave of nostalgic new wave makes us dance with a vigour of new styles in old classic structures. Why don’t you join us? It all kicks off at 9pm at Dalston’s Nest.
