London is set to welcome the first edition of Maiden Voyage festival this summer.

The event takes place on August 25th, and will be located at a site close to Three Mills Island, nestled on the environs of Bow.

The line up focusses on selectors and musicians who criss-cross between funk, soul, hip-hop, and future beats, with the initial announcement online now.

Club legend Gilles Peterson leads the pack, ably accompanied by American soul icon Roy Ayers.

A titan of the rare groove scene, Roy Ayers will be aiming to bring the sunshine at Maiden Voyage, with the line up also finding room for Bradley Zero, jazz collective Steam Down, and Nabihah Iqbal.

The Beat Conducta himself Madlib is set to appear at Maiden Voyage, with Louis Cole and Awesome Tapes From Africa performing.

Tickets go on general sale this Friday (February 15th) at 10am.
