Lollapalooza Heads To Berlin

European instalment confirmed...

One of North America's most iconic festivals, Lollapalooza has confirmed plans to head to Europe.

Currently, the brand has expanded into three South American sites – now Berlin is set to follow suit.

Running between September 12th – 13th at the historic Tempelhof Airport site, the event is set to welcome some stellar names to the German capital.

Melvin Benn of Festival Republic said: "Over two decades since its inception, Lollapalooza is more than ready to break new ground and bring the experience to new audiences, offering not just music, but fashion, food, plus an environmental awareness that is so important in the future of music festivals. Working with C3 and Melt! Booking to bring the Lollapalooza brand to Europe gives me great pleasure in not only building upon my relationship with these global partners but allows me to return to the iconic Templehof site in September."

Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell famously helped start Lollapalooza, with the singer clearly relishing a trip to Berlin. "I’m extremely excited to finally bring Lollapalooza across the pond to Europe. Berlin’s energy, vibrant art, fashion and music scenes are a mirror reflection of what Lollapalooza is all about and I can’t wait to share in this cultural exchange."

Lollapalooza Berlin runs between September 12th and 13th.
