Ahead of the launch of Liverpool Sound City, the line up for the event has been released and it contains a few surprises.
Clash is proud to present their own very special party at the Liverpool Barfly on Thursday 29th May. Featuring Hercules and The Love Affair, Late of The Pier, Four Tet, Telepathe, Florence and The Machine and The Field.
The Sound City event has been organized as part of the celebrations for Liverpool’s year as the City Of Culture.
Scouse icons past and present will play the main event, with the John Peel Memorial stage set to host The Farm and Ian McNabb (of The Icicle Works). Spread across four days and several stages, Sound City is one of the most exciting musical events of the year.
Elsewhere at Sound City, Gigwise and Evol will present the Festevol at Carling Academy. Headlined by Does It Offend You, Yeah? the bill will also include Hadouken!, Crystal Castles and The Death Set. The city will be virtually over-run with new talent, with highlights including special performances by Laura Marling, Mystery Jets, Cage The Elephant and The Whip.
Liverpool Sound City takes place between May 27th – 30th, at venues across the city.
