Liverpool Sound City Returns

With The View and more

Liverpool Sound City is set to return with a series of events starring The View and more.

Held annually, Liverpool Sound City is a celebration of the area’s musical heritage while also pointing to its future. Bringing together unknown and established acts, the festival is one of the largest boutique city centre events in the UK.

Returning for another instalment, Liverpool Sound City is set to take place between May 19th – 21st. As usual, the event has managed to grab some star names alongside a host of newcomers.

A special Christmas party will launch the event, with Liverpool Sound City set to hit the Kazimier on December 12th. Taking control of the venue, local heroes Sound Of Guns will perform alongside The View.

Preparing to release their third album, The View are set to preview new material at the festive show. The band are currently on tour across the UK, with dates stretching until the end of December.

The View were previously based in Liverpool, and has decided to celebrate their adopted hometown. The band will perform at the special Christmas show, which helps to launch Liverpool Sound City.

Meanwhile, organisers have confirmed a tie in with historic Liverpool based music magazine Mersey Beat. The journal of the Beat boom, the magazine helped launch the careers of The Beatles and many more.

A historic moment in Liverpool music history, Mersey Beat will produce a special one off edition as part of the upcoming event. Liverpool Music Week have teamed up with original publisher Bill Harry in order to host the anniversary events.
