Liverpool International Festival Of Psychedelia Returns

First names confirmed for 2013...

The Liverpool International Festival Of Psychedelia is set to return in 2013, with organisers naming the first bands on the line up.

Psychedelia is a sound which still inspires. Glancing at last year's End Of Year critical polls, you can find groups such as Tame Impala, Clinic, Melody's Echo Chamber and Psychic Ills – all of whom are engaged in a sonic journey towards the outer reaches of human consciousness.

Appropriately, the grandly named Liverpool International Festival Of Psychedelia launched last year with a spectacular one day event. Returning in 2013, the waters of the Mersey will be treated to some far out sounds between September 27th – 28th.

The initial names on the line up are already quite special. Ty Segall will take his new project Fuzz to Liverpool, with the American artist set to be joined by the likes of Psychic Ills, The Holydrug Couple and local heroes Clinic.

Jacco Gardner is due to appear, with the line up also containing the likes of Carlton Melton, The Wands, Plankton Wat and many more. Trouble In Mind Records will host a stage, with further announcements expected across the summer.

Billed as "the UK’s largest celebration of psychedelic sub-culture" the festival will feature live music, DJ sets, films, exhibitions and much more. Exciting stuff…

The Liverpool International Festival Of Psychedelia runs between September 27th – 28th.
