Vampire Weekend have weathered time and tide to become one of the pre-eminent indie pop voices of their generation. From that wonderful 2008 debut onwards, the band have shifted and evolved, accepting fresh influences in the process.
This year’s excellent return ‘Only God Was Above Us’ was a wonderful listen, a song cycle laden with light and buoyancy.
Taking the album on the road, Vampire Weekend returned to their spiritual home in London earlier this month, playing a string of completely sold out shows.
