Live Gallery: Troye Sivan – OVO Arena Wembley, London

The Australian pop prodigy lit up the capital...

Troye Sivan continued his live takeover at London’s OVO Arena yesterday, the penultimate stop on the European run of his ‘Something To Give Each Other’ tour, in support of his album of the same name.

The collection was an entry in our Album of The Year List 2023, a project that catapulted the star to new heights – a perfectly-curated playlist that guided the listener through the emotional headspace of a contemporary queer-pop prodigy. Translating the verve of the album into a kinetic stage experience, Sivan’s tour explores the tension between technically precise, choreographed sequences and the emotional resonance, and elation, that comes with relinquishing oneself to the freedom of sex, pleasure, and the communal warmth of club-centric dance music..

During the hit parade, Sivan was a synchronised performer flanked by a troupe of equally slick dancers, unleashing a set that cherry picked from his early works yet mostly honoured the triumph of his latest musical venture. In a night of surprises, Sivan was joined by actor-musician Ross Lynch, recreating his role in the music video for ‘One of Your Girls’, and by Charli XCX for Eurodance anthem ‘1999’.

CLASH photographer Connie Burke captured the glory.
