The Stone Roses have always had a special relationship with Manchester.
It's their home town, after all, but it goes much deeper than that – beyond mere civic pride, the band seem to draw strength, inspiration, from their surroundings.
With new songs 'All For One' and 'Beautiful Thing' raises hopes of a Third Coming, the band commenced their four night stint at Manchester's Etihad Stadium last night (June 15th).
It was certainly a night to remember. The Stone Roses were on imperious form, even taking the time to give David Beckham a song dedication in a teasing, toying set.
