'Groove Denied' comes to life in London...

Stephen Malkmus has long developed and honed a singular type of songwriting.

Earlier this year, however, the Pavement singer threw fans a curveball, in the form of surreal electronic collection 'Groove Denied'.

Out now, it fused his post-punk leanings with organic electronics, all filtered through his off kilter pop sensibilities.

Returning to Europe for a flurry of shows before next year's Pavement re-union, Stephen Malkmus took 'Groove Denied' to London's Moth Club.

Allowing each show to truly breath, the performance showed how interconnected these electronic leanings are with his wider work.
