Nap Eyes have twin roots in Montreal and Novo Scotia, two areas of Canada with distinct historic identities.
It's little wonder, then, that the group hold true to their instincts in the manner they do, sculpting uniquely wonderful aural vignettes.
New album 'I'm Bad Now' arrived in March, a skewed piece of wiry, minimalist indie rock that recalled The Velvet Underground if they'd ever had to trudge through four feet of pure white snow just to pick up some poutine.
Stopping off in London for a show at Hackney's Oslo venue, Nap Eyes delivered an insightful, addictive, continually riveting show.
